  Developer InnerSloth has explained why its popular online multiplayer game Among Us isn't on consoles like PlayStation 4 or Xbox One yet. The biggest hurdle in the studio's way is apparently player communication. According to studio programmer Forest Willard--who played Among us with a bunch of Twitch streamers earlier this week, including 5uppp--figuring out how to implement player communication in a game that's largely text-based chat might prove difficult when porting Among Us to consoles. "[A console port] is something we're starting to talk about," Willard said. "But we'd have to write a system for quick comms. It'd basically be for randoms, like Rocket League. I don't know if we'd be able to implement console voice chat or not. Credit: Riot Games Riot Games has announced a new partnership with Amazon that will see in-game items for Valorant, potentially including skins, given away free for anyone with Twitch or Amazon Prime.  The first round of Prime Gaming cosmetics for Valorant will launch on September 16, which is next week, and will include the Netter Treter gun buddy, which is from the Killjoy collection.  Anyone with a Prime Gaming subscription will be able to get the free in-game items, all you have to do is head to the Twitch Prime loot page on Twitch, and select the free Valorant loot when it is available. Downloads for rival games Garena Free Fire and Call of Duty (COD) Mobile have risen steadily since PUBG was taken out of app stores over security concerns on 2 September. Data from app analytics firm Sensor Tower showed Free Fire and COD Mobile were downloaded 3.7 million and 1.4 million times, respectively, between 3 and 9 September. The number of downloads grew 147% and 267%, respectively, from the previous week.
